Creag Àrd

This is a short documentary about the Craigard Day Centre in Lochmaddy, North Uist. It’s a centre for people with disabilities, run by the Social Services Department of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, the Western Isles Council. Watch the video. If you don't understand the commentary you can read it below. Click on any word you don't know to get an English translation. If the Gaelic word has an accent in it you may need to retype it in the online dictionary. Be careful also of plural forms and other possible variations. For example, you won't find "chleachdaidhean", but you will find its base form "cleachdadh". After you have read and understood the text you can try some language reinforcement and development exercises. You can also watch some additional "in their own words" interviews with participants in the video.
