SDE College (Syddansk Erhvervsskole Odense-Vejle)

SDE is one of the largest technical colleges in Denmark. The college has 5,000 FTE students and the number of staff is about 830. The college consists of a vocational school, a senior high school and an academy of higher education. The vocational school covers nine branches (production, IT, transport, logistics, construction, media, health, service and service industry). The students of the VET-school have a diverse cultural and educational background due to an allocation of different nationalities, ethnic minorities, different cultures, in the area.


SDE has already done a lot in order to integrate students with different backgrounds into vocational education e.g. mentor arrangements, flexible training models, cooperation with other schools, parents, enterprises and social partners. Further, the college has carried out comprehensive competence development of teachers and managers.

Since 1992, the college has participated in a large number of national and international projects.

Role and main tasks in the project

SDE will coordinate the project and exploit key technical development competencies of computing and teaching staff in the college for assisting with the technical transfer and edit of manuals and video subtitles. SDE teacher trainers experienced in the five language teaching methods will coach and peer review the teachers in IT, LT, and TR

SDE will through our network ensure national dissemination of the project results and findings and will make use of our international dissemination networks, e.g. EuroCall.

SDE is responsible for the exploitation of results outside the partnership, overall dissemination, website, promotion material, compiling and editing newsletters, brochures, graphical layout and print of DVDs

EFVET (European Forum for Technical and Vocational Education and Training)

The European Forum for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (constituted under Dutch and Belgian law) is a network of practitioner VET institutions throughout the European Member States, Candidate and Pre-Accession countries.  Its primary purpose is twofold:  a) To promote European wide co-operation and a sharing of good examples of practice amongst Vocational Education and Training institutions. b) Works closely with the European Commission at a strategic policy level as part of the Single Transparency Framework currently being developed.  EfVET is represented on the EC Objectives working groups as part of the EUCIS Platform for Lifelong Learningin association with EVTA and other European Organisations.  In addition it provides a service to individual institutions across Europe such as newsletters web site links, information services and project dissemination opportunities through its annual conference.

EfVET main role in pools-m

EfVET’s role in this project will be as a dissemination partner in order to raise awareness of the project and its final products and results. EfVET will co-lead on this work package and use its communication channels. Website – www.efvet.org, bi monthly newsletters and annual conferences to be held in October each year. Progress reports and development activity including the promotional material will be distributed across the EfVET network of 1500 VEt institutions throughout Europe. The website receives some 60,000 hits per year from members and stakeholders

CSCS Centro Servizi Cultura Sviluppo Srl Research Centre for Cultural Development

CSCS is a vocational training provider with experience on the integration of new technologies in teaching practices, accredited by Italian Government and operating with a Quality Assurance System in the following sectors: Initial vocational education; Apprenticeship; Continuous training for companies and professionals; Vocational guidance and orientation. CSCS is the National Coordinator for Italy of EFVET, the European Forum of Vocational Education and Training, ensuring a wide dissemination of the project outcomes, throughout Italy and Europe (for more information about EFVET, www.efvet.org). CSCS manage electronic newsletters and ensures the cooperation with a strong network of partners, ranging from vocational training bodies, association of companies, unions. CSCS is active in the field of student and staff mobility, with its division www.italymobility.com, aimed at supporting European educational providers to effectively plan and implement work placements in Italy.

GRUPPO CSCS will adapt and translate the project materials into Italian, recruit participants and run the pilot courses in Italy for VET language teachers of IT and other languages. We will based on our experience with work placement students head WP6 (the placement preparation guide) and through communication with the other teams ensure it is up-to-date before translations. We will actively peer review the other partners, our main focus is to review and give feed-back to the TR partner. We will through our networks in Italy ensure national dissemination of the project results and findings

Marijampoles profesinio rengimo centras

Marijampole VET Centre is the biggest and only vocational institution in the South of Lithuania, taking in all 5 municipalities of Marijampole region. And it is one of biggest in the country. As the regional institution it is more flexible in reacting to changing needs, able to adapt its curricula more quickly and ensure financial efficiency and a more flexible use of teaching staff. Marijampole VET centre is national representative of Lithuania in EfVET and represents vocational training of Lithuania in this European NGO.

Marijampole VET Centre will adapt and translate the project materials into Lithuanian, recruit participants and run the pilot courses in Lithuania for VET language teachers of LT and other languages. We will based on our experience with teacher courses head the course work package, we will also take the lead in WP7 (simulations) based on our experience with using simulation as part of our language teaching. We will also lead the WP10 (tandem learning) based on our experience with computer assisted communication.


We will actively peer review the other partners, our main focus is to review and give feed-back to the Italian partner.
We will through our networks across Lithuania (we are the EfVET national rep. in LT) ensure national dissemination of the project results and findings.

OZEL MARMARA ANADOLU MESLEK LISESI (Marmara Private Anatolian Vocational High School)

Marmara Private Anatolian Vocational High School is a co-educational High School with grades from 9th year through 12th grade.It is located on the biggest education campus which is situated in the outskirts of İstanbul .Marmara Private Anatolian Vocational High School is specialised in Mass Media Vocational Education and within this frame it has partnership agreements with TRT ( Turkish Radio Television Corporation= Turkey's National State TV & Radio Channel) and the most outstanding Private Satellite TV Broadcasting companies in which its students have the chance to practise their vocational trainings.In addition to this, the school is keen to develop its expertise in the area of Mass Media Vocational Education.English teachers working within this institution are heavily exposed to English Language Teaching workshops and seminars so as to sharpen their skills and relate their knowledge and experience to ESP studies considering Mass Media Vocational Education.

Marmara Private Anatolian Vocational High School will adapt and translate the project materials into Turkish, recruit participants and run the pilot courses in Turkey for VET and other language teachers of TR and other languages. We will based on our experience with in-service teacher courses head the WP13 and cooperate with the other partners to ensure that the guide are valid for all three countries. We will also take the lead in WP8 (Task Based Learning) based on our experience with TBL as part of our language teaching. We also have the lead in WP11 (PhyEmoC) as we are one of the partners who also deals with beginners level) We will actively peer review the other partners, our main focus is to review and give feed-back to the Lithuanian partner.
We will through our networks across Turkey including a network of private VET schools ensure national dissemination of the project results and findings.

SUPSI University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland

 The University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) is one of the 8 Universities of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. It has a university statute, focused on professional training and applied research. Together with the University of Southern Switzerland (USI), to which it is closely linked in terms of collaboration activities and common institutions, it is the only Italian language university pole in Switzerland, with almost 4,000 students in the Lugano region. SUPSI offers a range of bachelor and master’s courses, which cover several different fields (Construction and design, Business Management, Social Science, Health Professions, Innovative Technologies, Music, Theatre).

The Languages and Mobility Service (SLM) organizes German and English language courses for all SUPSI departments, with the aim of imparting linguistic skills that will help students in their pursuit of career opportunities in Switzerland and abroad. Italian language courses for foreign or Swiss students are offered as well. The SLM is also responsible for SUPSI participation in the European Erasmus student exchange program, and is the official examination centre for Cambridge ESOL and Goethe-Institut exams in Ticino. It has recently taken part in the Swiss Virtual Campus project “Mysterycove”, which has led to the creation of a videogame for ESL learners.
The SLM has now joined the POOLS-T project, in order to test the tools developed and to create its own CLIL materials (texts and videos), which will also be used for tool testing.
